Help Me Title the Next Drawing Project

Help With a Title

So the next drawing project involves potentially 200 to 300 drawings, all of which deal with memory, family portraits, and the idea that a massive assembly of pictures might take over a wall in an imaginary house, alongside a staircase. I will begin to post the images as they are made, along with the found photographs and stories which were generative models for the drawings, as soon as I title the project (and category).

Can you help?

Today, I googled a “Title Generator” and came up with the following ten suggestions. I don’t want to limit this process to these ten; feel free to leave a comment, vote for one, or offer another one based on these possibilities.

Here are the ten potential titles (I’m not super excited about any of these, necessarily, so feel free to play with them in your comment. That might even be more productive.):

Title One: overwhelming manufacturers under linear deliberators
Title Two: The linear association
Title Three: The family under overwhelming manufacturers
Title Four: overwhelming association
Title Five: The planning family
Title Six: ascending deliberators
Title Seven: planning manufacturers
Title Eight: linear ascending
Title Nine: ascending for deliberators
Title Ten: planning and ascending

Thanks for your help!

Michael Schmelling The Plan 1

According to the official statement on the book, The Plan, by Michael Schmelling:
“Between 2003 and 2005, Michael Schmelling photographed 12 private residences in the company of Disaster Masters, a New York-based company specializing in cleaning up homes and counseling compulsive hoarders. Featuring 490 photographs printed in black-and-white on 576 newsprint pages, this volume devotes one chapter to each home — producing an arresting art object and a fantastic document of urban archaeology and psychology.”

I attended the reading and presentation of this book last night at Family (book store) in Los Angeles. (more…)

4 A Brief History of the Tupperware Party
We all have things about ourselves that provide the necessary insecurity to keep us honest. Written entirely in second person, the main character in this story has a serious problem with his own body hair. To put it mildly, he’s a gorilla man. To make matters worse, his girlfriend is a tiny hairless female specimen of what is supposed to be the same species. When she invites her father over to the house one Sunday evening for dinner, Gorilla Man loses his cool and puts the entirety of his relationship with her in jeopardy. (more…)
