After getting way too caught up in work over the last few weeks, it’s time to get back to reporting the good news. On Valentine’s Day, Marc Schuster over at Small Press Reviews published an absolutely awesome review of Don’t Smell the Floss. Check it out in total here.
Highlights from the review include:
“The (at times bizarre) subject matter, however, isn’t the only thing Don’t Smell the Floss has going for it. It turns out that Byloos is an amazing (there’s that word again!) writer–a true “craftsman” of the written word, as one of the book’s blurbs rightly puts it. Stylistically, the book reads like a cross between George Saunders and Chuck Palahniuk; it’s fast-moving, occasionally gross, but always smart and funny in a disturbing ‘I can’t believe I just laughed at that’ kind of way.”
It’s thoughtful, insightful and always really really great to have someone dig deep into your work and then have something to say. Thanks Marc!
