Help With a Title
So the next drawing project involves potentially 200 to 300 drawings, all of which deal with memory, family portraits, and the idea that a massive assembly of pictures might take over a wall in an imaginary house, alongside a staircase. I will begin to post the images as they are made, along with the found photographs and stories which were generative models for the drawings, as soon as I title the project (and category).
Can you help?
Today, I googled a “Title Generator” and came up with the following ten suggestions. I don’t want to limit this process to these ten; feel free to leave a comment, vote for one, or offer another one based on these possibilities.
Here are the ten potential titles (I’m not super excited about any of these, necessarily, so feel free to play with them in your comment. That might even be more productive.):
Title One: overwhelming manufacturers under linear deliberators
Title Two: The linear association
Title Three: The family under overwhelming manufacturers
Title Four: overwhelming association
Title Five: The planning family
Title Six: ascending deliberators
Title Seven: planning manufacturers
Title Eight: linear ascending
Title Nine: ascending for deliberators
Title Ten: planning and ascending
Thanks for your help!

How about Reminmissing?

I think maybe I am more invested in a multi-word title. More mystery or more leading and less mystery in those, I believe.

As per your title request:
“It Escapes Me”
Like my memory escapes me.
How’s that? And how are you?
Cheers,
Casey

Matty,
Here are my somewhat scattered thought on the title of your project:
This project seems to somehow tie in with the other link you posted about “What Makes Us Happy”. (a subject I have always been interested in). If it were possible to sum up the answer to what does indeed make us happy, that article seemed to state “relationships with other people” tops the list. A nice little tie-in to all the photos of people and memories along a staircase.
I also cant escape the imagery of someone slowly walking up the stairs, “ascending” if you will, while they pass by these images and are literally looking back on their life and they rise up the staircase. (My Christian beliefs may be strengthening the allegory of “rising up” a bit too much, forgive me!)
Most the titles generated above seemed to industrial for me. But I did like “overwhelming” a lot since it relates to both the number of pictures as well as the extent of the emotional tie to the content. I can only imagine that if I saw 200-300 pictures related to my life and my relationships all at once I would be quite overwhelmed.
So…I think a title which can incorporate some of that stuff may work.
What comes to mind:
Overwhelming Ascension
The Ascending Family
Ascending Reflection
In Awe of Everyone
The Overwhelming Ascension of Memory
Thats my 2 cents!
(PS: or you can call it Stairway to Heaven, but I think that’s taken!)

Sparling… NOT Hammered. Huge investment, and thank you, very much to think about and all of it on point. Exactly what I hoped would happen here…

Glimpses.
I am just putting this line because the stupid computer, or whoever makes the rules, says my comment was too short. I Hope this makes up for it.
Mind you, I personally think my title is a simple stroke of genius. ANd , it is only on loan, should you decide to use it.
