“Matty Byloos is one of those guys that drive me crazy. Writer, painter, musician… I know he’s gotta day job. One of those well ordered, highly organized minds. I barely know what I’m doing now, an I’m probably late for something… I could really learn to hate this guy.
From this meticulous mind come the carefully crafted strings of words that inhabit his short story collection DON”T SMELL THE FLOSS. It’s smart, funny and no matter how disturbing things get you’re gonna find you won’t wanna get off the ride. Matty’s characters are pretty bent, but they’re also pretty self-aware and they can tell us exactly what they’re up to as they take us on a tour of the icky basements of their minds.
By the way his paintings also exhibit evidence of the architectural nature of this guy’s irritating ability to create a compelling body of work.
