The Story Behind the Silverlake Reservoir Series
The Silverlake Reservoir is an unusual place, an area where I used to take daily walks. During this time, I began to document my walks with photographs, focusing on the architectural details that struck me as interesting or odd, through countless afternoons. After the Hancock Park series, I wanted to continue working with architecture, and began to focus more on the drawing aspect of each work. Paintings from this Reservoir Series were exhibited in solo and group shows at such venues as Dust Gallery in Las Vegas, Sarah Gavlak in West Palm Beach, FL, and Toomey-Tourell Gallery in San Francisco, among others.

Matty,
I actually own the piece on the far right. It hangs in my bedroom in Las Vegas and I look at it every day in admiration. You’re a real talent and I look forward to great things from you. Now I just need to get a piece for my home in LA! All the best.

Anthony! Wonderful. I had hoped that collectors would come to site at some point and enter into a dialogue. As a painter, you always wonder where your work has ended up, and how its being lived with. Stay tuned to the site as I will be starting a special project for my collectors very very soon. Thanks for saying hi!
